2nd Annual car wash: Supporting families facing childhood cancer
- Parker Project
By Dax Manetta, Parker Project Community Ambassador
On a sunny April weekend, our community once again showed up and showed out for Parker Project’s 2nd Annual Car Wash — and what a beautiful day it was! Following the heartfelt success of last year’s inaugural event, our team was excited to bring the car wash back—bigger, better, and bolder in purpose. Hosted in partnership with our amazing volunteers and local supporters, the event not only raised vital funds but also reminded us why we do what we do.
Every scrub, every rinse, every dollar — it all adds up to hope.
Thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise funds to continue supporting families facing the unimaginable reality of childhood cancer. Your donations help cover daily essentials that often go overlooked — gas to get to treatment, groceries to fuel growing kids, and even housing costs so parents can focus on what truly matters: their child’s well-being.
We had an incredible turnout — from repeat supporters who joined us at the first event to new faces eager to make a difference. Watching the community come together, laughing, washing, and cheering each other on, reminded us of something powerful: even the smallest act of kindness can ripple into something extraordinary.
To everyone who drove through, rolled up their sleeves, or simply shared a kind word — thank you. You are a vital part of Parker’s legacy and the impact we’re building together. We’re already looking ahead to next year, but for now, we’re soaking in the gratitude and pride that comes from a day well spent — one car at a time.
If you’re inspired by our event and want to get involved, there are many ways to support our mission. Whether it’s volunteering, donating, or simply spreading the word, every little bit helps in the fight against pediatric cancer.
